Grower and industry meeting, 1 May 2024
PIRSA is hosting a 'Beyond the Curve' fruit fly event to talk about what happens next for Riverland growers.
As we move into winter, we will be providing a forward focus on improving our position for the region.
We encourage growers and industry to be involved in continuing to strengthen our efforts during 2024.
This event is not for general community but focused on helping growers with updated information.
Program
Con Poulos (Incident Controller) and Jason Size (Senior Community Engagement) will:
- show how we have had a greater impact through collective effort
- share preliminary data that indicates no peak in March 2024, as in previous data trends
- exploring data suggesting that fruit fly outbreaks and activity may begin to decrease.
The presentation and discussion will be followed by an informal barbecue.
