Yellow area fruit fly outbreak restrictions

If you're in a yellow suspension area, these restrictions are in place to limit the movement of home-grown restricted fruit and vegetables.

You cannot move home-grown restricted fruit and vegetables from the yellow suspension area into a green area

Home-grown restricted fruit and vegetables cannot be shared, sold or moved from the yellow suspension area to a green area.

You cannot take restricted fruit and vegetables into the Riverland

There are permanent restrictions in the Riverland to protect it from fruit fly. Only fruit and vegetables sold within the Riverland are fruit fly safe.

You can move home-grown restricted fruit and vegetables from a yellow suspension area into a red outbreak area

You can move home-grown restricted fruit and vegetables within a yellow suspension area.

You can also move them into a red outbreak area, but you must eat or dispose of them in the red outbreak area.

You can move restricted fruit and vegetables purchased at a shop (permanent retail business) in a yellow suspension area across all fruit fly affected areas, with an itemised receipt

You must seal fruit and vegetables in a bag or container while moving them.

To dispose of any waste, double-bag it and put it in a rubbish bin.

You cannot move restricted fruit and vegetables from roadside sellers, markets and stalls in a yellow suspension area into a green unaffected area, even with a receipt.
