The following fruit and vegetables are not restricted during a fruit fly outbreak. You can move these types of produce between outbreak areas and into the Riverland if travelling from within South Australia.

All fruit and vegetables, including those restricted, can be prepared in certain ways so they can move between areas without spreading fruit fly:

  • canned
  • cooked
  • dried
  • frozen
  • grated
  • pureed or blended.
