Apple scones
Ingredients
- 1 packet SACWA Lauke Scone Mix, 1 sachet
- 2 apples, peeled, cored, finely chopped
- 80 g caster sugar
- 230 mL water
- plain flour for kneading
Method
- Heat oven to 210°C.
- Place all ingredients into a food processor with a dough function, mix for 3 minutes.
- You can otherwise mix by hand in a bowl with a straight-bladed knife, then knead using plain flour until no longer sticky and dough is smooth.
- Place dough onto a floured mat, rest for 5 mins.
- Roll or press out dough to 2cm thick and cut into rounds.
- Place rounds closely together on a baking tray (use baking paper).
- Cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Enjoy warm with your favourite topping and cream or enjoy with a piece of camembert cheese.
